Sheri McLemore

About Mrs. McLemore

I have been a nurse for 25 years. I graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1993 with an Associates Degree in nursing. I graduated from ULL in May 2020 with my BSN. I intend to
continue my education to get an MSN in nursing education. I have worked in the areas of traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, and rehabilitation. My favorite area of nursing prior to teaching is labor and delivery and postpartum. I worked at Minden Medical Center for 7 years in the labor unit. I love helping to deliver those sweet babies. I left Minden Medical Center for Louisiana Homecare for about a year as a field nursing visiting patients in their homes. And for the last 13 years, I worked at Northwest Louisiana Technical College as a Health Occupations Instructor. I am currently the interim part-time Regional Nursing Coordinator for NLTCC. I love teaching others about nursing and caring for patients.

I have been married for 27 years to Keith McLemore and have 2 children, Amanda and Braeden. Amanda now has her Bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a focus in Social Studies
and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in history. Braeden is a junior at Louisiana Tech
pursuing a degree in kinesiology with a focus in health promotion. He intends to pursue
chiropractic care after graduation. In my spare time, which isn’t much, I enjoy working in my flower beds, shopping for just about anything, and being with my family.
