Outdoor Power Equipment

Many job opportunities are available to the technician who is trained in small engine service and repair.  The increased amount of leisure time for Americans has led to a rise in the number of boats, motorcycles, and recreational vehicles.  Light industrial equipment usage has also grown at a rapid pace.  As a direct result, the need for skilled mechanics has greatly risen.  There is also continued demand for the small engines technician in the more traditional fields of lawn and garden repair.

The outdoor power equipment technician will find job opportunities as a mechanic in small engine shops, outboard motor and motorcycle shops, and in-house maintenance departments.  The outdoor power equipment technician can also start his/her own repair business and be self-employed.
